- It is currently May 31'st 2023, I am in Floyd Virginia, and I am writing my 2nd mailing list letter! - Thank you to all my returning visitors and to my first timers! Life has been a whirlwind during these past few months! On April 6th I performed my senior recital at Berklee! I had many guests and played a fun variety of tunes. the video is posted above. Please skip until 14:32 for the start of the show. Then on April 13th, and 14th, I performed in the Miley Cyrus ensemble at the Berklee Performance center. It was a mind boggling experience, and an incredible production! It was the first time I have ever been given choreography! The performance is available above and my part comes on at the 44:20 mark. On may 6th, The Wildmans and I had the pleasure of performing at the Charm City Bluegrass Fest in Baltimore Maryland, where I got to see my sister Malia, and some other good pals. Throughout the beginning of May, I was frantically finishing all my final assignments at Berklee, and on May 12th, I saw the Berklee Commencement Concert, where the college honored Sona Jobarteh, Roberta Flack, and Usher. Usher And Sona attended and performed, as well as my amazing girlfriend Carolina Schott. It was an amazing show. On the May 13th, I graduated Berklee with a BA in Music Performance! Then after packing up my room driving back to Virginia, and saying goodbye to Boston, I hit the road to northern Virginia with my friend Earl White to play in his band at Dare to Be Square! DTBS was a lovely 3 day event in a beautiful park, with square dances, jams, bad-mitten and friends! Tomorrow I head out to Manchester Indiana to teach at the Midwest Banjo Camp! I'll be in good company as many great pickers will be there, including my sister, Gina Furtado! Well that was a fun few months! I couldn't be luckier!
